HollywoodRacks Tow Bar Cycle Carrier Model HR450 Fitting Instructions

Fits tow bars having standard ISO 3853 Two Hole Face Plate.

Warning! This cycle carrier can hold up to four bicycles, maximum weight 120 lbs (55 kg).

Do not exceed The vehicle and tow bar maximum nose weight capacity. It is the user’s

responsibility to ensure that the vehicle’s number plate and lights are visible at all times.

This product is not to be used on any trailer/caravan, nor is it to be used to carry motorcycles

or other gas or electric vehicles. Please drive slowly on bumpy or dirt roads.

The following parts are included with this product:

1. Cycle Carrier upright beam with support arms

2. Adapter Plate

3. Tiedown Strap and Safety flag

4. Hardware bag including two 5/8” dia. X 1.75” bolts,

two 5/8”nuts, and four washers

5. Hardware bag including two 1/2” dia X 3” bolts,

two nuts, and four washers. One ½” lynch pin with clip.

Tools Required: Two Adjustable wrenches

Installing the carrier on your vehicle:

1. Mount the adapter plate to the vehicle’s two hole face plate

Using the 5/8” dia bolts, nuts and washers. Tighten bolts

securely using wrenches.

2. Align the holes of the cycle carrier upright beam with the

holes of the adapter plate. Insert one of the ½” dia bolts through

the lower holes, and tighten nut securely. Be sure to place the

two large washers on both ends of the bolt.

3. Insert either the lynch pin through the upper hole or the second ½” dia bolt (with nut). The lynch pin is used

to allow the cycle carrier to tilt down for boot access on estates, mini-vans and 4X4s.
